Dorstenia lavrani, commonly known as Taba’a Gorge Dorstenia, is a distinctive caudiciform plant native to Somalia. It belongs to the Moraceae family and is highly appreciated by collectors for its unusual swollen base, branching stems, and attractive foliage. As the plant matures, its base develops a more pronounced form, creating a sculptural appearance.

The stems feature distinctive circular leaf scars and produce clusters of elongated green leaves near their growing tips. One of its most attractive features is the wavy, ruffled leaf margins, which give the foliage a unique texture.
