- 魚缸使用：天然木材初期可能釋出單寧酸，令水色呈淡黃至茶色，通常屬常見現象。若希望水色較清澈，可先浸泡並定期換水。正式放入魚缸前，應確保木材沒有腐爛、異味或不明化學污染。
- 固定方式：如木材仍然浮起，可先浸泡至充分吸水，或使用適合水族環境的固定方式，避免木材移動而影響造景及魚類活動。
- 雨林缸使用：可配合水苔、莫絲、蕨類及其他適合高濕環境的植物佈置。保持適當通風，避免木材長期處於過度積水及缺乏空氣流通的環境。
