紫葉酢漿草最迷人之處，是晚上葉片會自動閉合，早晨再慢慢張開，看起來像會“呼吸”的小蝴蝶。若想葉色更深紫，可給予充足散射光。休眠期可略減水，耐心等待，它很快就會重新長出一整盆紫色小翅膀。
